This NHL schedule today lists every live hockey game with its puck-drop time and the channel or streaming app carrying the broadcast, across both the USA and Canada. Hockey games tonight on TV can have one broadcaster in the USA and a completely different one in Canada.
In the USA, national games alternate between ESPN/ABC and TNT/truTV depending on the night, with ESPN+ carrying a deep slate of additional out-of-market games through its NHL Power Play package. Most other games are shown regionally through each team's local sports network. In Canada, Sportsnet holds the primary national package across its channel family, with French-language coverage split between TVA Sports and RDS, meaning a single game can have entirely different broadcasters depending on which side of the border you're watching from.
The NHL's 82-game regular season runs from October through April, with a dense midweek and weekend schedule that often has ten or more games on a single night. That volume is part of why regional coverage matters so much here: only a handful of games get a true national window on any given night, and the rest are split across dozens of regional feeds. Coverage tightens up considerably once the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin, when ESPN/TNT and Sportsnet carry the vast majority of games nationally on both sides of the border.
Because so much NHL coverage is regional, this page lists the confirmed national assignment for each game along with the primary regional broadcasters where available, rather than a single blanket channel.
The NHL has separate national deals in each country. In the USA it's ESPN/ABC and TNT. In Canada it's Sportsnet, with French-language games on TVA Sports.
| Competition | Broadcaster(s) | App |
|---|---|---|

USA
National games alternate between ESPN/ABC and TNT/truTV. Most other games air on team regional networks (for example MSG, Scripps stations or team apps like Wild+), with out-of-market games on ESPN+.
Canada
Sportsnet has the main national package, with regional Sportsnet feeds (Pacific, West, Ontario, East) and TSN regional channels for local teams. French-language coverage is on TVA Sports and RDS.
ESPN+'s out-of-market package blacks out your local teams, whose games air on regional networks. In Canada, regional games are limited to each team's broadcast territory.
In the USA, national games alternate between ESPN/ABC and TNT/truTV, with ESPN+ and regional networks covering most other games. In Canada, Sportsnet has the main national package.
Most nights have several games across the league. The listings above show each one with its national or regional channel in both countries.
Hockey Night in Canada is the Saturday-night NHL broadcast on CBC and Sportsnet.
Sportsnet carries most NHL playoff games nationally in Canada, with French-language coverage on TVA Sports and RDS.
ESPN+'s NHL Power Play package only covers out-of-market games. Your local team's games are on the regional network in your area.
